UX Case Study : Research Tracking Portal

😒 Core Problem 

Pharmaceuticals Companies do research, virtual simulations & testing with hundreds of test subjects & volunteers in 3 phases, each phase will have an increasing no. of test subjects. They have to recruit the test subjects & regularly check their medical data for getting desirable research outcome. 

All the process till now are done with papers, so they are currently unable to view, organise & infer the research data properly. Also, the researchers would like to see the overall Research performance as well as individual patient data.

Design a Research tracking portal for a pharmaceutical company to maintain record of subjects, research information, documentation & online application in a research trial, as well as to monitor, study & help in planning, conducting, managing and reviewing the multiple research.

● Subject/Patient have to come in research facility for scheduled checkups.

● Recruitment of subjects for new research is done by marketing/present old data.

● Researchers finds hard to track research status, ongoing events, daily tasks, accumulated data & recruitment of fit test subjects.

● For all inclusion & exclusion criteria, patient have to visit multiple times.

● Patients have to maintain diary notes for symptoms and medication, researchers have to rely on patient memory or diary notes.

● Calling each patient, consolidating all medical data, manually extracting all relevant information, taking reading & analysing is tough & very time consuming.

● For researchers to work collaboratively, they need to carry and maintain record most of the time.
